Storage & Abandoned Work.

Pickup-ready work gets 2.75 weeks of grace by default, with an optional prepaid hold up to 4 weeks total before billed storage and final studio reclamation.

What to expect

  • Grace period

    Pickup-ready work gets 19.25 days of grace from the moment we mark it ready for pickup.

  • Reminder schedule

    We send pickup reminders during the covered pickup window. Standard reservations use day 14, day 17.5, and day 19.25; prepaid storage shifts later reminders to the 4-week cutoff.

  • Prepaid storage

    You can prepay extra pickup time for a flat $15. That covers up to 4 weeks total from the pickup-ready notice before daily billing begins.

  • Post-grace billing

    After grace or prepaid storage ends, storage bills at $1.50 per half-shelf per day for up to 28 billed days.

  • Reclaimed work

    After the billed window ends, ownership transfers to the studio and the work may be reused, sold, or destroyed.

Timeline

How the clock works

  • Pickup-ready notice

    The storage clock starts when your reservation is marked ready for pickup in the portal.

  • Grace first, billing second

    Missing a pickup window does not reset the clock. Standard grace runs to day 19.25. If prepaid storage is purchased, covered storage runs to the 4-week mark. Billed storage starts immediately after the active covered window ends.

  • Daily storage billing

    Daily charges only accrue after each fully elapsed 24-hour period and use your reservation's half-shelf estimate as the charge basis.

  • Automatic reclamation

    At the end of the 28 billed days, the reservation is archived and shown as Reclaimed by studio.

After reclamation

What abandonment means

  • Ownership transfer

    When work is reclaimed, it is treated as abandoned and ownership transfers to Monsoon Fire Pottery.

  • Studio rights

    The studio may destroy, recycle, donate, sell, repurpose, photograph, copy, display, or otherwise use reclaimed work without further notice or compensation.

  • Questions or disputes

    If you believe your reminder history or storage timeline is incorrect, contact support before the reclamation date shown in the portal.
