1. Scope and operator
Monsoon Fire Pottery Studio, also called “Monsoon Fire,” operates this website and the Firing Pathfinder for kiln-firing inquiries and service handoffs in Arizona. This policy applies to information collected directly through those surfaces.
Stripe’s terms apply when you use a Stripe-hosted invoice or payment page.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Name, nickname, or studio name.
- Email address.
- Your note and firing details, including firing range, estimated space, service or pickup selection, and unusual-material disclosures.
- Messages, access needs, refund requests, incident details, and other support information you choose to send.
Information collected automatically
- Request date, ticket and request identifiers, page path, and operational status.
- Basic server or security logs, which may include IP address, browser or device information, and timestamps.
- Theme, contrast, text-size, and reduced-motion choices saved in your browser’s local storage.
We do not collect payment-card numbers through the Firing Pathfinder. Card information is handled on Stripe-hosted payment surfaces when used.
3. How we use information
- Create and deliver your firing ticket, pickup reminder, or support request.
- Evaluate kiln fit, material compatibility, pricing, billing, safety, and service timing.
- Send transactional emails that you requested, including ticket, dropoff, pickup, invoice, and service updates.
- Send the Monsoon Fire client newsletter no more than twice per calendar year to clients based on the existing service relationship.
- Respond to questions, accessibility requests, incidents, cancellations, disputes, or privacy requests.
- Protect the website and studio from misuse, fraud, and security threats.
- Meet accounting, tax, insurance, safety, and legal obligations.
The client newsletter is the studio's only marketing email. Every issue includes a visible opt-out instruction and standards-based one-click unsubscribe. An unsubscribe removes the address from all Monsoon Fire marketing without stopping necessary service messages about submitted work.
5. Cookies, local storage, fonts, and signals
As of this policy’s effective date, the public website does not run advertising pixels or optional analytics cookies. It uses browser local storage for display preferences. Google Fonts may receive ordinary request information when your browser loads font files.
Because we do not sell or share information for cross-context behavioral advertising, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals do not change the current site behavior. If optional analytics or advertising tools are added, we will update this notice and provide controls where required before activating them.
6. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for firing service, pickup, billing, accounting, safety, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Transaction and billing records may need to be retained longer than routine questions. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where practical.
You may ask about or request deletion of a record. We may retain limited information when required by law or reasonably needed to complete an open service, collect or document a lawful charge, protect safety, resolve a dispute, or prevent fraud.
7. Your privacy choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information you provided, or ask how it has been used. Email support@monsoonfire.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may verify your identity before acting. You may also clear local display preferences through your browser or the site’s display-options reset.
To stop all Monsoon Fire marketing, use the Unsubscribe control in a client newsletter. If your mail app does not show it, email support@monsoonfire.com with “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject. The request is applied to all Monsoon Fire marketing; service messages about active or recently completed work remain separate.
We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request. Some requests may be limited by another person’s privacy, an open transaction, safety, fraud prevention, or law.
8. Children
The website and firing services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information should contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. Security and incident response
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small studio and the information involved. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a security incident affects information protected by law, we will investigate and provide required notices.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as services, vendors, or law change. The effective date and version at the top identify the policy in force. Material changes will be posted before or when they take effect and will not retroactively change a consent already given unless law permits it.
